Air conditioning
A complete split air conditioning unit for one room (up to 25 m²) costs between 28,000 and 45,000 CZK including VAT, the unit itself and installation. For multi-split systems (2–3 indoor units) expect 55,000 to 95,000 CZK. Price depends on brand, pipe length and installation complexity.
R32 is the most widely used refrigerant with a GWP of 675 (lower than older R410A). R290 (propane) has GWP of only 3 and is more efficient at higher outdoor temperatures, but its flammability requires stricter installation standards. For most homes we recommend R32.
Standard installation of one indoor and one outdoor unit takes 1 working day (6–8 hours). In an apartment building with SVJ approval and exterior wall passage, expect 1.5 days. Multi-split systems take 2 working days. We confirm the date within 3 working days of contract signing.
Yes. The outdoor unit affects the facade, which is a shared part of the building, and its installation requires written approval from the SVJ under Czech Civil Code (§ 1175) and house statutes. We help prepare the request: technical specification, placement photo montage and project documentation.
We provide the statutory 24-month warranty on the unit, extended to 36–60 months on Panasonic and Samsung brands after registration. We provide a 24-month warranty on our installation work. For full warranty validity we recommend an annual service.
Heat pumps
An air-to-water heat pump for a 150 m² family house costs 180,000 to 280,000 CZK including installation. The exact price depends on capacity (6–16 kW), brand (Panasonic, Samsung, Stiebel Eltron) and adjustments to the existing heating system.
When replacing a gas boiler, payback is typically 7–10 years. With the NZÚ subsidy this drops to 4–6 years. Annual savings for a family house are 25,000–45,000 CZK compared to gas and 50,000–70,000 CZK compared to an electric boiler.
The 2026 NZÚ subsidy for an air-to-water heat pump is up to 140,000 CZK (standard) or up to 180,000 CZK (combined with energy-saving measures). The application is submitted electronically before installation. We help with the application and full project documentation.
A modern heat pump with SCOP 3.5–4.5 consumes 3.5–4.5× less electricity than pure electric heating. Compared to gas, savings are around 40–60% of heating costs, depending on building heat loss and unit sizing.
Installation of an air-to-water heat pump in a family house typically takes 3–5 working days. It includes outdoor unit installation, hydraulic box, connection to the heating system and commissioning. From contract signing to work start usually 4–8 weeks.
Heat recovery
A central heat recovery unit with ductwork for a 120–150 m² family house costs 120,000 to 200,000 CZK. Price depends on building size, number of rooms and duct complexity. Installation in new-builds is significantly cheaper than in retrofits.
Quality heat recovery units achieve 85–90% heat recovery efficiency. This means that with 22 °C indoor air and -5 °C outside, fresh incoming air arrives at 19–20 °C — only slightly cooler. Typical savings on heating are 30–40%.
Yes, every heat recovery unit produces condensate (especially in winter) and requires connection to the drainage system. The drain must go through a trap, ideally with atmospheric break. If drainage is not accessible, a condensate pump can be used.
In a new-build without finished interior, duct and unit installation takes 3–5 working days. In a family house retrofit, 5–10 days depending on duct complexity (attic space, soffits, chasing). Handover and customer training is part of the final day.
We clean or replace filters every 3–6 months (depending on dust and pets). Annual service covers heat exchanger inspection, condensate drain check, fans and regulation calibration. We offer a service contract from 2,400 CZK/year.
Electric heating
Radiant (infrared) panels directly heat room surfaces (floor, furniture, people) through infrared radiation — they can be quickly switched on and off. Electric underfloor heating warms the entire floor, which then evenly radiates heat. Radiant panels are more flexible for intermittent use, underfloor heating is more pleasant for continuous heating.
Electric underfloor heating including thermostat and installation costs 1,200 to 1,800 CZK/m². Heating mats are cheaper and suitable for bathrooms and smaller areas, heating cables under screed are more expensive but more powerful. For a regular 60 m² apartment with bathroom, expect 80,000–120,000 CZK.
Electric heating has 100% efficiency — every kWh converts to heat. However electricity is more expensive than gas or heat pumps. Biggest savings come from combining with solar PV, a low tariff (D02d/D57d), or as a supplement to a main source. For year-round heating we recommend a heat pump.
Radiant panel installation is quick — typically 2–4 hours per room including wiring and thermostat. For a whole family house of 5–7 rooms it takes 1–2 working days. No wet process, no floor intervention or renovations required. Ideal also for retrofit.
Yes, excellent combination. PV surplus can be used to heat storage tanks or directly power radiant panels and underfloor heating. Smart control (e.g. Loxone, Somfy) automatically switches heating based on current PV production. Combined with battery storage, you can achieve 60–80% energy self-sufficiency on annual costs.
